This is a great chest of drawers! It is solid wood, including the inside of the drawers. It seems very well made and something that will last for decades. It is an attractive piece of furniture. I got the walnut color. I am glad it looks a little darker than it did online. That likely has to do with the lighting in the room. The drawers have rollers on it, so it slides open and closed very smoothly. There are lots of parts to assemble. It was very helpful that Grain Furniture sent an email in advance that had "Assembly troubleshooting" videos. I had a handyman put it together. He was convinced all the drawer hardware was wrong. I pulled up the video and let him see it. That helped him understand how to put it together. All the parts were just fine! So save yourself some trouble, once you lay out all the parts, look at the video first. It will clarify everything. It took him a little over 3 hours to put it together not counting the problem of understanding how to do it. The only downside I am having right now is the fresh wood smell. I put a paper plate with baking soda in each drawer and have it open with the window open too for it to air out. I think it will take awhile for the wood smell to go away. But it is great that it is a real wood smell, not a chemical smell like other chest. This is a great chest, safe and non toxic as it is all wood. It is very good quality, well worth the money.

seriously great, what else can I say. Two things I'll mention, not sure what directions in assembly I glance over don't read, but a note should be made if not there already about people using a power drill. Going fast will strip the wood from the threads, the other thing helpful would be using soap or beeswax on the screw threads

Assembly took a bit of time but you can tell this is real wood and the assembly time was worth building a sturdy, hopefully long lasting, item. I was worried the espresso color would be too dark or have a fake look but it is absolutely beautiful. Would absolutely buy again.
