Shipping policy
At Grain Wood Furniture, we pride ourselves on providing a shipping experience that is faster than the industry norm. Most of our products are in stock and ready to ship from our Virginia Beach, VA warehouse.
1. Shipping Costs & Destinations
- Free Shipping: We are pleased to offer Free Shipping on all orders. Some out-of-warranty replacement part sales may have an additional shipping fee.
- Service Area: We ship exclusively to the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states).
- Exclusions: At this time, we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Canada, or any international destinations. We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses due to the size of our packaging.
2. Processing & Handling Time
- Standard Processing: Most orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours (Monday through Friday).
- Order Cut-off: Orders placed after 10:00 AM EST on Friday, or anytime over the weekend, will be processed and shipped the following Monday.
- Note: During high-volume periods or holidays, processing times may be extended to two or more business days.
3. Shipping Methods & Transit Times
- Carrier: Most orders are shipped via FedEx Home Delivery.
- Estimated Delivery: Most customers receive their orders within 2 to 7 business days after the shipment leaves our warehouse. Please note that transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
- Signature Requirements: FedEx Home Delivery does not require a signature. Packages will typically be left at your doorstep, garage, or in your apartment building's mailroom/front office.
4. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email containing your FedEx tracking number. You can monitor your shipment directly on the FedEx website. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder or log into your account on our website to view your order status.
5. Cancellations & Order Changes
Because we process orders "lightning-fast," the window for changes is extremely limited.
- Deadline: Any requests for cancellations, address corrections, or product changes must be submitted within 60 minutes of the order being placed.
- After Shipment: Once an order has left our warehouse, it cannot be canceled or modified. If you need to change a delivery address after shipment, you must manage this through the FedEx Delivery Manager service (fees may apply and are the responsibility of the customer).
6. Damaged or Missing Shipments
- Shipping Damage: Our heavy-duty packaging is designed to resist damage. If your box arrives with visible punctures or crushing, do not refuse the delivery. In most cases, the solid wood furniture inside remains in perfect condition.
- Reporting Issues: If you discover damage to the furniture after opening the box, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will promptly ship replacement parts at no additional cost to you.
- Missing Items: If your order contains multiple boxes, FedEx may occasionally deliver them on different days. Please check your tracking link for the status of each individual box.
