UL GREENGUARD is a certification that ensures our products meet stringent standards for indoor air quality. There are two different levels of certification, UL GREENGUARD and UL GREENGUARD Gold.
UL GREENGUARD is a certification from UL Solutions that designates that a product has been tested for total Volatile Organic Chemical (VOC) emissions and found to be less than the acceptable Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) criteria. The test identifies all VOCs that emit from the product over 168 hours, with extra focus on Formaldehyde and Aldehydes. GREENGUARD testing requirements are stricter than those established by the federal government and give customers peace of mind.
UL GREENGUARD Gold is an extra level of certification that indicates that the products emit even lower levels of VOCs and incorporate a low level of formaldehyde emissions. GREENGUARD Gold lets customers who have extra sensitivities or have children know that the product will be safer for them and their families.
