We do not use any formaldehyde-based adhesives in our products. The adhesives we use are Franklin Multibond EZ-1 and Franklin Titebond 50 glue.
According to Franklin International, a review of the product formulas and available test data shows:
- Multibond EZ-1 does contain a trace amount of formaldehyde as a residual material from the supplier’s process in a raw material we use to manufacture this product. To assure compliance, Multibond EZ-1 was tested by the European FIRA chamber test method. The test results were 0.037 ppm, which is well within the E1 limit of 0.1 ppm.
- Titebond 50 contains no formaldehyde in the formula at all, and no formaldehyde is generated during processing or curing.
- In addition, neither Multibond EZ-1 nor Titebond 50 contain any urea formaldehyde.
